I can hear your minds already at work.
'Here we go again. Another article on how to find satisfaction in
your singleness,' but I hope you have a different perspective after
reading this. First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is
Dayla Smith, I'm 27 and SINGLE. I live in
Alvord, TX and attend BibleWay Church where my dad, Rev. Davy
Smith, is the pastor.
Now back to the subject at hand. When
this subject is brought up, it is usually by someone who is married,
and wants to tell all of us single ladies why we should be content.
If you're like me, I'm thinking, "That's easy for you to say..."
but, believe it or not, there can be satisfaction in our
singleness. I'm not trying to tell you to be happy that you are
single, just while you're single. I have lived my life, at times,
in total misery, because I didn't have a 'significant other.' That
is not a fun way to live. I don't like being miserable.

One day, I don't know exactly how or when, I
realized that I had a life to live regardless of if "Mr. Right" was here
or not. I still have times, when I wish my Prince Charming would come
along, but it is not the sole focus of my life. I have found true
satisfaction in life, and it comes only by devoting yourself totally to
God and allowing Him to use you wherever and however He chooses. Find
something that you enjoy to fill your days, (and that doesn't include
guy watching). Focus on the here and now, and when God has us ready for
marriage, He'll send that special someone to us. Live life SINGLE AND
SATISFIED!!!
"I have learned in WHATSOEVER state I am, therewith to be content."
Philippians 4:11
