conference this year. I've invited several single friends as well. Lots
of ideas rolling around in my head. It's probably time to sit down and
weed out the bad ones and organize the good ones. Little secret: This is
the first time I've ever been to anything like this. |

I have visited and viewed the
site many times and now finally I have am leaving my own comments. I was
able to attend the 2nd conference, and I have to admit I almost backed
out of going at the very last but in the end was glad that I didn't. It
is not easy to be an older single, especially in a church where you are
the only one. Being at the conference reminded me God does know exactly
where I am, I'm not alone and He does have a purpose. My desire is to
fulfill God's purpose for my life.
I would also like to add my thanks to the Johnson's and Johnston's for
their hard work and efforts in putting together the website and the
conference. |

| Finding this website is truly ordered of God
since it has gave me the reassurance that I'm not in the boat alone. I
am 31 and never been married and thus I constantly struggle with
feelings of loneliness and isolation. I know Jesus is with me and He
truly is the dearest Friend I ever had but oh how wonderful it would be
to have a husband and companion. Most of my friends my age are married
and so in everyday life, church, etc., I feel like I don't fit in
anywhere because of my age and being single. A friend who battles the
same thing I do told me something that someone told her which is food
for thought: God is isolating me so He can insulate me. I wish there was
a way that I could come to the conference but it's far away and gas is
so high. It is a comfort to know that there are others my age going
through this stage of life. |

Greeting to everyone! There has been so much
going on in my life since the retreat, I just have a hard time putting
everything into words. I want to start by saying thank you to Bro.
Michael/Anita Johnson and Bro. Dave/Anna Johnston for obeying God in
starting FOCUS for singles. It has been a blessing in my life. The web
site is great!!
Just to give you all an update on what it going on in Denver, CO. Our
church has started to grow little by little. We have visitation twice a
month, where we go door to door and invite people to church. The church
now has started a mission for the homeless. On Wednesday/Sunday the church
van goes down town Denver to pick anyone who would like to come to church.
Since this our church services have 10 to 20 new visitors. God has made a
way for our church to feed these people as well. I could go on and on of
God's many blessings and how He has inproved my life. For now I will hold
off unit I see you at the next meeting. May God bless and keep you all. |

| I like the emphasis on singles and I do
definately agree that is needed. Many feel left out because their parents
aren't saved but they are in church... So I think that you guys are doing
a wonderful job. |

I was quite impressed with every aspect of
the singles retreat this past summer. Everything, from the activities to
fine food, the fellowship and the anointed and much needed teaching. Of
course, I wouldn't expect anything less from my sister and brother-in-law,
Michael and Anita Johnson. (Love you guys!) I was only able to stay for
one day, but was so encouraged by Sis. Anna Johnston's words of wisdom.
Thank you for having a vision and supporting us: the SINGLES. I have found
that God's timing has been perfect in every area of my life. I want to
encourage others that may surf by here and say make the best of the time
you have now. We have soooo much to offer our home churches and God has a
divine place for us. God bless!

| Hello to everyone! The
website looks great. First of all I want to thank the Lord for this
ministry. It has truly been a blessing to me. The retreat was wonderful
and very uplifting. The Bible does say, where 2 or 3 are gathered in my
name there I am in the midst and the Lord was very much so in our midst
at the retreat. It was so comforting to know that we are not alone in
this present circumstance of our lives and not only that but others have
been there and kept the faith. "Looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith." I truly appreciate Bro.& Sis. Johnson
and Bro.& Sis. Johnston for their burden. Sis. Johnston you were
more help than you realize. Thank you all who had a hand in making this
possible for us. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. May the

The website looks great! I'm
like the others... I can't believe it's already been three months. I
appreciate the Lord being mindful of singles and he used Bro. and Sis
Johnson and Bro. and Sis. Johnston. The retreat really indeed helped me
regain my FOCUS and allowed me to meet others who really knew how I felt
and what I had to deal with on a daily basis. Since the retreat, I have
been instructed by the Lord to attend Women's jail ministry on Tuesday
nights. I have given my testimony and five (that I know of, maybe more)
excepted Christ into their life. The Holy Ghost moved and some were
sobbing when conviction swept through the jail cell. God is Good!
I do covet your prayers as I'm the one who is a single parent from
Alabama. I really hope the next retreat will have some type of class to
deal with single parenting. There are those who have hardships before
they were saved and sometimes after. Now they have children to raise by
themselves. And then there is me, whom God led to adopt a baby.
In closing, Hi to everyone! I'm sorry I've not been in touch. I've been
so very busy and I know everyone else has been as well. I hope to see
you guys soon! Many blessings to all, and especially the Johnson's and

so awesome, I can hardly wait for the next one. I loved looking at the
pictures again...remembering some of the folks I'd forgotten had

| Hello. I didn't realize this was up & running
already. I actually found it by accident when I clicked on the wrong
link in my favorites list. N-E-WAY..I just wanted to say hi to everyone
& that I really enoyed the singles retreat. It was great meeting new
friends of the same faith. I can't wait until the next event. I am
having faith that there will be even more people at the next
one...(maybe just a few more guys--LOL) but if not it will still be a
blast! I can't believe it has been almost 3 months ago. I loved the dvd
& pictures of everybody. It brought a smile & some laughs:) See
